About me
Ian Cunningham is a versatile and accomplished producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Charlotte, NC, with a passion for creating, performing, and inspiring through music. He developed a strong foundation in music theory and performance at Central Piedmont Community College (2014–2017) before earning a degree in recording and production from Appalachian State University (2017–2020). These experiences have shaped Ian into a skilled keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter, recognized for his versatility and professionalism.
Ian’s musical journey spans a wide range of projects and collaborations. As a solo acoustic performer, he captivates audiences with his heartfelt storytelling and exceptional musicianship. He has also played keyboards for numerous bands and artists, including Jake Haldenvang, Joseph Gallo, Kids in America (’80s tribute), Chasing Phoenix, Lukas Delgra, Lisa De Novo, Petty Rewind, Untethered Soul and Chameleon Soul. These opportunities have allowed Ian to showcase his adaptability and artistry across genres such as rock, funk, pop, and tribute performances.
In addition to his performance career, Ian is an active member of the local music community. He has led open mic nights, collaborated on recording projects, and built a reputation as a reliable and dedicated musician. His strong background in music theory and production enables him to bring both technical expertise and emotional depth to every project.
